For wellness management

Concept delivery & management

Our unique concept revolves 360 degrees of the wellness landscape. We can support from the build, team curation to ongoing management.

We produce a diverse & disruptive wellness class schedule and iconic urban events. Create a unique space, for like minded people to gather and optimise their self-wellbeing.

We will provide a strong and capable team of movement professionals, leading wellness therapies and sustainable lifestyle techniques.

We will be accountable for reshaping how wellness looks and impart our knowledge with three styles of movements that are integral to our concept:

Kinetic chain movement describes the linked motion between related joints and muscles to the portion of the spine to which they connect. These movements are precise and often slower in tempo. These movement promote strength through muscular engagement around the joint in motion.

Neuromuscular training focuses on performing exercises that train the nerves and muscles to react and communicate. Neuromuscular training is designed to both increase the quality of movement by improving body awareness and strength.

Dynamic movement is rhythmic muscular activity warming the body appropriately to optimise the range of motion.

KND is an immersive wellness experience with a carefully curated environment to suit the space including, sound-scaping and visuals. A perfect juxtaposition of gritty workout sessions whilst encompassing inclusive and holistic elements.

Wellness Partnerships

Our knowledge, experiences, curiosities and values allow us to build on new possibilities and create a fresh new approach to wellness and movement tailored to the needs of your business. Our wellness partnership offering extends beyond the physical act of training, it is an urban lifestyle concept we can share with Edinburgh and beyond.

This concept can encompass local and wider outdoor pursuits, a collaboration of wellness practitioners offering new and traditional approaches. A gathered team of expert educators to encapsulate a bespoke schedule of movement classes and iconic annual events.

The KND partnership values guide us through tailoring this broader concept of wellness to your needs.

Knowledge - do we have the knowledge to support every decision

AccouNtability - can we be accountable for that decision

Diversity - are our decisions diverse enough for all stakeholders

We aim to establish your core values and weave this wellness partnership offering through your needs to enhance, elevate and support your business.

How did you find your way in to the world of Wellness?

We began our journey into wellness being a part of start up business's for movement and activewear in Edinburgh in 2015. We became instrumental in growing the Edinburgh community with differing styles of movement. Believing multiple ways to move bodies and incorporate an aspect of wellness in peoples mental health as well. We observed the progress of members, including ourselves and our teams at work, were making physically physiologically and psychologically. This encouraged our drive and focus to broaden the wellness landscape in Edinburgh.

Tell us a bit about your day….

Tessa is all about the early rising, 7am yoga inspired dynamic movement with breathwork can enhance focus and clarity to begin the day. Enabling members to start their day three mornings a week with this wellness routine.

Working out is part of the working day. Emma follows the flow of members who want to take time out of the working space in Lounge 37 to be the architect of their own wellness lifestyle. Supporting a flexible 1:1 training schedule for members seeking a progressive path to getting stronger and feeling empowered through wellness during the 9-5pm working day.

Why Edinburgh for a Wellness career?

Beyond the professional work culture in Edinburgh is a bubbling community of people who want a creative and active outlet. There is a strong social aspect that is created from group classes. With the pace of the city, we see a lot of ambitious people who want to challenge their capabilities in movement and minimise stress levels by having a tool kit for their mental health.

Edinburgh is always hot on the heels of wellness trends and The Strong Rooms can deliver. We extend our experience and uplift our skill set visiting wellness spaces and retreats globally to stay ahead of the curve and deliver these trends to our members and broaden their wellness landscape.

What’s in the pipeline for The Strong Rooms?

We are continuing to push wellness wider than ever. Upcoming events we are hosting include a sleep clinic, building your plate nutrition brunch, wear clothes that make you feel good. We also have turn up the lights visiting from London. After the success of our physcedelic talk we will welcome Jen Wood back to dive deeper in the topic of micro-dosing.

In terms of movement we are introducing new classes such as Breathwork with Cryo chamber, Cryotherapy for Power and Acceleration. We also have our winter social activity, Padel, on the radar too.

What can we look out for event wise from The Strong Rooms?

Comprehensive run programmes paving the way toward the Edinburgh Marathon is the ultimate running experience combining strength & conditioning work with pace acceleration techniques and capacity sessions to build endurance. We programme cryotherapy, breath work and targeted massage to cover all bases in this training programme.

Our team is our biggest achievement, bringing together a group of the best to deliver the wellness concept, allowing them to step out of the conventional boundaries of movement and incorporate more holistic approaches for their member programming gives the Townhouse member community the most opportunity to reach the best version of themselves.

Any top tips for those looking to get into a fitness routine?

Don’t rush! Wellness needs to be a lifestyle for it to be sustainable. The Strong Rooms 30-minute wellness consultation with our Educators is the best first step. They will ask about strength, mobility and capacity in your body, when you are looking to train within your current lifestyle and what you want to achieve to empower you. The Educator will then send a comprehensive programme of different sessions and classes to attend within appropriate time frames for your week as well as where to place IR sauna, cryo and massage to achieve important recovery time.
